copy edits as of May 10

Here are the edits on each page:

Landing page: "Wicked Like a Wild Flower" should be "Wicked Like a Wildfire" both below my name and above in the tabs. (Since Wicked Like a Wild Flower appears as a subtitle to my name on every page, it needs to be changed to Wicked Like a Wildfire on every page.)

About Lana: Please italicize Wicked Like a Wildfire. New content: Lana Popović's debut YA contemporary fantasy, Wicked Like a Wildfire, is forthcoming from Katherine Tegen Books/HarperCollins in Summer 2017. Lana studied psychology and literature at Yale University, and law at Boston University. She is a graduate of the Emerson College Publishing and Writing program and works as a literary agent with Chalberg & Sussman, specializing in YA. She lives in Boston, subsisting largely on cake, eyeliner, and aerial yoga. She'd happily spend all her waking hours hanging out in silks, and may very well be upside down right now. Just ask her about it (depending on your tolerance for high enthusiasm and hand-waving).

Lana is represented by Taylor Haggerty at Waxman-Leavell. You can follow Lana on Twitter (hyperlink: https://twitter.com/LanaPopovicLit) and on Instagram (hyperlink: https://www.instagram.com/lanalyte/).

Wicked Like a Wildfire: Please italicize Wicked Like a Wildfire, and also here's amended text, to make it easier. This will change once I get flap copy from Melissa anyway: Wicked Like a Wildfire: All the women in Iris and Malina's family are born with a gleam—a unique way of experiencing and manipulating beauty through magic. Seventeen-year-old Iris sees flowers as fractals and turns her kaleidoscope visions into glasswork, her twin sister Malina interprets moods as music, and their cold, distant mother bakes scenery into decadent treats at her confectionery in Old Town Cattaro. But when a mysterious, white-haired woman attacks their mother and leaves her hovering between life and death, the sisters must trace their way back to the ancient curse that haunts their line. To break the curse and save each other, the sisters must untangle a thousand years of lies and come to terms with their own secrets. Wicked Like a Wildfire will be published in Summer 2017 by Katherine Tegen Books/HarperCollins.

Wicked Pretty: In the tradition of a glitter-loving magpie, here I’ll collect things I’ve read or seen, and found beautiful. ~Squiggles~ denote exceptional love on my part (and having compiled them, I now see that I apparently feel exceptional love quite often—but I promise it’s still super potent!). Because I tend to be woefully behind on leisure reading, recent finds may not be quite so recent, or they may be based on my reading of ARCs and therefore not yet published.

Quick question: will we have a way for people to contact me via the site? Would that go under About Lana?

Thanks so much!

Notes April 18-

I wonder if we could use some images from suicidebysafetypin's fractal art collection on DeviantArt? I love her stuff, and I actually included it in the "covers/things I love page" I just sent to HarperCollins--they've renamed my book WICKED LIKE A WILDFIRE (which I love! Of course, I'll buy the domain name) and moved me to Summer 2017, so I'll be publishing early, hooray! I'm attaching that page so you can see the stuff I've included! I'll also have professional photos of me pretty soon, I'm having some taken next week!

Absolutely yes! I love that idea. It's going to be a while before we get the final covers (my Advanced Reader's Copies will become available mid-fall), and I'll have to do an official cover reveal first. We'll have some cover comps by early- to mid-May to riff off of, though.

Peacock feathers, morning glories, all the dancing ladies (especially the ballerina silhouette with the feathered skirt) will be represented in the novel. Desserts too, and nighttime and daytime depictions of Kotor, Montenegro, so I wonder if we could incorporate some of those? I have lots on the pinterest, and there's other lovely ones available too.

About Wicked Like a Wildfire: All the women in the Marević family are born with a gleam—a unique way of experiencing and manipulating beauty through magic. Pitched as the sensory magic of The Night Circus meets the Eastern European flavors Uprooted, Wicked Like a Wildfire will be published in Summer 2017 by Katherine Tegen Books/HarperCollins.
